Hydranautics ESNA1-LF2-LD 4040 Nanofiltration Membrane Element

The ESNA1-LF2-LD 4040 is a premium 4" x 40" low-fouling nanofiltration (NF) membrane from Hydranautics, designed for ultra-low pressure operation with enhanced performance and durability. Building on the proven ESNA1 series, the LF2 variant offers improved flux and fouling resistance while maintaining excellent selective rejection characteristics.

Featuring advanced composite polyamide chemistry and Hydranautics’ patented Low Differential Pressure (LD™) technology with a 34 mil biostatic feed spacer, this element delivers superior cleanability, reduced pressure drop, and extended service life — even in challenging brackish and surface water applications.

Tested at 500 ppm CaCl₂, 75 psi, 77°F (25°C), and 15% recovery, the ESNA1-LF2-LD 4040 provides 50–90% overall salt rejection while achieving outstanding removal of divalent ions (hardness), natural organic matter (NOM), TOC, color, pesticides, and microorganisms.

Ideal for municipal drinking water treatment, well water softening, industrial process water, food & beverage applications, and wastewater reclamation where partial demineralization and high organics removal are required at minimal energy cost. The ultra-low operating pressure significantly reduces pump energy consumption and system costs compared to traditional RO membranes.
