DuPont FilmTec™ BW30HRLE-440i High Rejection Low Energy Brackish Water Reverse Osmosis Membrane – 8" x 40" with iLEC™ Interlocking End Caps | 12,650 GPD
The FilmTec™ BW30HRLE-440i is DuPont’s advanced high rejection low energy brackish water RO membrane, designed for operators who demand excellent permeate purity at significantly lower operating pressures — up to 33% lower than standard brackish elements. This makes it ideal for energy-conscious municipal, industrial, and ultrapure water systems while delivering superior rejection of salts, silica, boron, nitrates, IPA, and ammonium.
Featuring a large 440 ft² active area, a 28 mil feed spacer, and DuPont’s innovative iLEC™ interlocking end caps, this element combines high productivity with reduced energy costs, minimized O-ring leaks, lower risk of telescoping, and easier installation/maintenance. The robust polyamide thin-film composite construction offers the widest cleaning pH range (1–13) for outstanding cleanability, durability, and long membrane life — even in challenging controlled-pretreated waters.
Key Benefits:
- High Rejection at Low Energy — Achieves 99.3% stabilized salt rejection (minimum 99.1%) while producing 12,650 GPD (48 m³/d) at just 150 psi test pressure — delivering strong performance with lower pumping and electricity costs.
- Superior Contaminant Rejection — Excellent removal of silica, boron, nitrate, IPA, and ammonium for higher-purity permeate in demanding applications.
- iLEC™ Interlocking End Caps — Reduces O-ring leaks, improves water quality, lowers operating costs, and simplifies element handling in multi-element vessels.
- Enhanced Fouling Resistance & Cleanability — 28 mil feed spacer and widest pH cleaning range (1–13 short-term) provide effective cleaning and extended element life.
- Increased Active Area — 440 ft² delivers high flow, allowing system designers to use fewer elements and reduce capital costs.
- Fiberglass Outer Wrap — Provides structural strength and durability for reliable operation up to 600 psi.
Ideal Applications:
- Industrial water demineralization and utility water
- Second-pass RO for ultrapure water production
- Municipal drinking water and water reuse systems
- Food & beverage processing
- Seawater desalination post-treatment or polishing
- Large commercial RO systems requiring high purity with energy efficiency
